Roll-on cuff from HPM for a bloodless field in the arm or leg during surgery. The cuff is rolled onto the extremity, presses out the blood and stops the blood flow where it is placed. It needs neither electricity nor compressed air.
Areas of use
Orthopaedic surgery, vein surgery, arm and leg surgery and emergency care.
Size and pressure
Measure the circumference where the cuff will sit and choose the size. In borderline cases, choose the smaller one. The cuff is inflated to 130 mmHg and then normally exerts 200–320 mmHg on the extremity, never more than 350 mmHg.
Sterilisation and care
- Delivered non-sterile. Remove all air with a vacuum pump and steam autoclave at 134 °C for 3 minutes. No ethylene oxide or dry heat sterilisation.
- Let cool for at least 4 hours at room temperature before use.
- Wash in a washer-disinfector at 90 °C for at least 10 minutes, without mineral oil or ozone.
- Withstands at least 25 uses over a maximum of 2 years. Store in the dark at 10–25 °C.
- Check the skin condition of patients with diabetes or cortisone treatment.
